China is Austria’s most important trading partner in Asia, and in the export ranking of Styria, China already takes the 5th position of the top ten export countries. Even if the impacts of the financial crisis on the economic activities with China cannot be estimated completely, it can be assumed that the trade relations will continue to take a significant position.
Not least with the economic stimulus package of the Chinese government worth 460 billion Euros it becomes clear, with which emphasis the target to keep the economic growth at over 8 % is being worked on. The planned investments into infrastructure, automotive and steel industry, as well as the increasing promotion and development of renewable energy sources also hold chances for Styrian companies.
